ABOUT

FRIENDS OF THE CHILDREN - PORTLAND

Friends of the Children—Portland’s mission is to impact generational change by empowering youth who are facing the greatest obstacles through relationships with professional mentors – 12+ years, no matter what. We partner with Portland area schools and the foster care system to proactively select high-priority kindergarteners and provide them with 1:1 support from full-time, salaried mentors through high school graduation. Friends of the Children-Portland is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and proceeds from Friend Raiser go directly to support our mentoring program, services, and organizational operations. Your support makes our mission possible and helps us to build resiliency in our community and create lasting change for our youth.
